Let’s make the Water Tower a great work of art!

We here at Arts Assist have been very fortunate to secure funding from the State Government of Victoria through the Community Support Fund, along with permission from Southern Rural Water which will allow us to transform the disused concrete water tower, located at 1 Tower Road Werribee and built in 1913, into a giant artwork by painting a mural on its surface. The theme of the artwork will highlight the historical significance of the water tower to the local community and to its development of Werribee and surrounds. The water tower has great public visibility, acts as a gateway to the Wyndham city and has the potential to become a significant artistic and tourist landmark.

Confirmed project partners: State Government of Victoria, Arts Assist and Southern Rural Water

This community art project will help make Wyndham a vibrant, creative and engaging place; celebrate the heritage and local significance of the water tower and the important role it played in the growth of the local township; contribute to the image of Wyndham as a great place to live, work, recreate and visit; increase tourism to Werribee; and it has the potential to become part of a water tower art trail throughout Wyndham.

Help us make Wyndham a vibrant, creative and engaging place!
